Mawar Villa is a boutique villa in Seminyak, Bali, operated as a registered Indonesian business. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Mawar Villa. “You” refers to anyone who visits our website, contacts us, makes a booking, or stays with us.

We try to collect only the information we genuinely need to host you well. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:

• Booking and inquiry data: the name, email, phone number, party size, dates, and any preferences you share through the contact form, WhatsApp, phone, or email.
• Stay records: check-in details, passport or KTP information required by Indonesian hospitality law, dietary requirements, and any correspondence about your stay.
• Payment data: we do not store full card numbers. Payments and refunds are processed by our bank or payment partner; we keep only enough record to reconcile your booking and meet tax obligations.
• Website analytics: if you visit our site we may collect anonymised usage data such as your IP address (truncated), device type, browser, referrer, and the pages you view, via Google Analytics.
• Cookies and local storage: small files used to remember your language and theme preferences and to power optional analytics.

We use your information for clearly defined purposes:

• To respond to inquiries and confirm bookings.
• To prepare your stay, your meals, and any add-on experiences you request.
• To meet legal and tax obligations under Indonesian law (including the Personal Data Protection Law, UU PDP, and tourism regulations).
• To improve our website, our service, and our communication.
• To send occasional, opt-in updates if you have asked to hear from us.

We will never sell your data. We will never use your information for purposes you would not reasonably expect from a small villa you have chosen to stay at.

We share data only with parties that help us run the villa, and only the minimum needed:

• Email and form services (such as Formspree) that route your inquiries to our reservations inbox.
• Analytics providers (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) that help us understand site usage in aggregate.
• Banks and licensed payment partners that process your transactions.
• Indonesian tax and tourism authorities, where the law requires us to report or retain certain records.
• Trusted local partners (chefs, drivers, spa therapists, activity providers) only when needed to deliver the experience you booked.

Some of the services we use (analytics, email forms, hosting) process data on servers outside Indonesia. When that happens we rely on the standard data protection terms those providers offer, and we transfer only the minimum data required.

We keep booking and tax records for the period required by Indonesian law (currently five years). General inquiry data is kept for up to twenty-four months after your last contact with us. Analytics data is retained for twenty-six months. You can ask us to delete your records sooner where the law allows.

You have the right to ask us:

• What personal data we hold about you.
• To correct anything that is wrong.
• To delete your data, where the law allows.
• To withdraw consent for marketing or optional cookies.
• To receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Functional: remember your selected language and dark or light mode.
• Analytics: if enabled, help us see which pages are useful and which need work. You can disable this in your browser at any time.

Our website is served over HTTPS. We restrict access to booking data to the small reservations team that needs it. We do not store payment card numbers. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information with the same care we would expect for our own.

Our site is not directed at children under thirteen and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Bookings for families are made by an adult guardian.

We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent change. If the update is significant we will let active guests know by email.
