About these terms
These terms apply when you book a suite, the whole villa, or any add-on experience with Mawar Villa, whether through our website, WhatsApp, email, phone, or a booking partner. By confirming a booking you agree to them. We agree to host you in line with what we promised.
We are an Indonesian business, and these terms are governed by Indonesian law with venue in the courts of Denpasar, Bali.
Booking and confirmation
A booking is confirmed once we send you a written confirmation from stay@mawarvilla.com or our reservations WhatsApp. The confirmation will list the suite or suites reserved, the arrival and departure dates, the headcount, and any add-ons you have requested.
If you booked through a third party (Airbnb, Booking.com, a travel advisor, etc.) their booking terms apply alongside ours, and the third party's cancellation and payment policies take precedence over the matching sections below.
Rates and payment
All published rates are quoted in US dollars unless we agree otherwise in writing. Indonesian government tax and service charge are added at checkout in line with local regulations.
- A deposit of fifty percent of the total is due within seventy-two hours of confirmation to hold the booking.
- The balance is due thirty days before arrival, or at the time of booking if your arrival is less than thirty days away.
- We accept international wire transfer, major credit cards through our payment partner, and cash in IDR or USD on arrival when arranged in advance.
- Add-on experiences (spa, private dining, drivers, activities) can be settled with the rest of your folio at check-out.
Cancellations and modifications
We try to be reasonable. The standard policy is:
- More than thirty days before arrival: free cancellation, full refund of any deposit paid.
- Seven to thirty days before arrival: one night per suite is non-refundable; the balance is refunded.
- Less than seven days before arrival: the full stay is non-refundable.
- No-shows: charged as the full stay.
Full villa buyouts and weddings have separate terms set out in the dedicated buyout contract. Date changes are free where the new dates are available; the difference in rate (if any) is payable in either direction.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 12:00. We are happy to hold your luggage on either side. Early check-in or late check-out can usually be arranged with one day's notice depending on the suite turnover schedule.
Indonesian law requires us to register every overnight guest. Please bring a valid passport (or KTP for Indonesian guests) for each adult in your party.
House rules
The villa is small and intimate. A few simple rules keep it pleasant for every guest:
- Quiet hours are observed from 22:00 to 07:00 around the pool, garden, and suites.
- Smoking, including vaping, is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. A cleaning fee applies if you smoke inside a suite.
- We do not host pets, with the exception of certified service animals.
- Guests outside your booked party are welcome to visit during the day with prior notice. Overnight visitors must be added to the booking and are subject to capacity rules.
- Indonesia is a strict no-drug country. The villa team is legally required to report any suspected illegal substances.
Damage and security
On arrival we will pre-authorise (not charge) a small refundable deposit on the lead guest's card to cover accidental damage. We will only charge against it for genuine damage beyond reasonable wear, missing items, or extra cleaning, and will share photos and an itemised list before doing so.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events outside reasonable control, including natural disasters, volcanic activity, government travel restrictions, public health emergencies, or extended infrastructure outages. In those cases we will work with you to reschedule the stay or offer a credit valid for twenty-four months. Refunds will be considered case by case.
Liability
We take care to keep the villa, the pool, the spa, and any experience we arrange safe. Guests use the facilities at their own risk and are responsible for the supervision of children in their party. Our maximum liability for any single booking will not exceed the amount paid for that booking, except where Indonesian law requires otherwise.
Photos and marketing
We sometimes photograph the villa, our food, and our common spaces for the website and social media. We will not photograph you or your party without permission. If you would prefer not to appear in any media, please let your villa host know on arrival and we will respect it for the duration of your stay.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The version that applies to your stay is the one in force on the date your booking was confirmed. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
